Thomas Gimler is responsible for the monitoring and the overall implementation and operation of the ACP Compliance program, which ultimately is responsible for the development of written standards, best practices, and policies and procedures for the organization.
Prior to joining ACP, Tom spent almost 15 years at EmblemHealth, held various positions over his tenure in the Medical Management, and Compliance departments. He was responsible for compliance reviews, staff training, as well as organizing all compliance matters. Tom liaised with outside consultants and vendors, chaired the privacy and security subcommittee meetings, and was an active participant in the corporate compliance, and the internal audit committees. Tom has extensive experience pertaining to CMS, DOH, NCQA, and the Office of Civil Rights reviews. Prior to his positions at EmblemHealth, he was a technical consultant at Thomson Reuters (Clark Boardman Callahan).
Tom holds a BBA in Management from Pace University and an advanced degree from Stony Brook University in Healthcare Technology. He is certified in Healthcare Privacy, HIPAA Privacy and Security, Healthcare Administration, and Healthcare Technology.
